Political literacy resources
Sir Bernard Lovell School undertook some development work into the political literacy of young people.
Two resources were produced as an outcome of this work. They are intended to support learners as they further develop their understanding of the UK political system and learn about how to influence their elected representatives.
The first resource is a booklet, ‘Dilemmas’, which contains activities that can provide some ideas and opportunities for young people to take more direct action and initiate active citizenship projects that might help to bring about positive change.
The second document is a game/test, ‘Recognise me?’ to identify images of political figures at a local level in Britain, as well as worldwide and what it is that we actually remember them for.
